Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism | Joseph D. Jamail Lecture Hall

Columbia University tasked LTL Architects to reinvent their School of Journalism’s Lecture Hall and give it an Ivy League worthy appearance. The new Lecture Hall would have to be everything they needed all at once – a space for lectures, conversational learning, film screenings, a stage for performances – without compromising symmetry and simplicity. LTL elected to use ETX custom Solid Black Fumed Oak flooring as a classic traditional backdrop that echoed remnants of the building’s original design. That, offset with the contemporary ceiling’s substructure left Columbia with a beautiful one of a kind (but no one-trick-pony) space by Fall Semester 2017.

Inspired? There’s more where that came from.
