Floor Covering Weekly Announces AVA Debut!


[Toronto] Novalis Innovative Flooring officially launched its new commercially specified luxury vinyl flooring brand AVA at NeoCon East earlier this month.

AVA goes to market with 64 SKUs of planks and tiles across three collections: DGSN for corporate, retail and hospitality; SNSE for education and healthcare; and, STYL for multi-family developments. Varied glue-down, loose lay and click system installations are available, depending on the collection.

John Wu, president and CEO, explained to FCW that commercial will continue to become an important part of Novalis’ business. The company’s first initiative, Wu noted, has been to grow awareness of the AVA brand with some key decision makers of the commercial flooring industry.

“Whether that means attending trade shows focused on design or producing a strong media campaign in both print and social media, we are determined to get the AVA message out to the industry,” he said. “We also are developing strong partnerships with a really influential network of representatives that will be telling the AVA story on a daily basis. We will be presenting the AVA brand and its message to the industry consistently and with great impact.”

Prior to NeoCon East, the company was quietly introducing the line with sample portfolio binders and a new website

“The growth of Novalis as a company and where we want to grow in the future led us to bringing the AVA brand to market,” said Wu. “In our opinion, there is room in the LVT flooring category for a brand that offers solutions at any budget level and for any flooring need, whether glue-down or floating. We believe AVA is that brand."
